Marco Margheri

Chairman World Energy Council Italy

It is a great pleasure and an honor for the Italian Committee of the World Energy Council to welcome you to Milan to attend the World Energy Week (October 8 -11, 2018).

The World Energy Week is a global event that provides a high-level forum for discussion of the top energy issues. The Week is built around a series of meetings over four days, including the World Energy Leaders Summit, the Future Energy Leaders Summit, the Energy Transition Summit and the Italian Energy Day.

Taking its lead from discussions at the last G7 Italian Presidency, the World Energy Week will continue to develop ideas related to key energy topics, including Energy Security, New Energy Drivers, Energy Transition and Climate change issues. Alongside the usual gathering of global leaders and associated discussions, this week will also have a particular focus on the energy dialogue between the Euro-Mediterranean, Central Asian, Middle Eastern and African areas.

The World Energy Week Milan 2018 will offer plenty of networking opportunities, providing the occasion to meet and interact with global energy leaders and experts.

We hope you will join us in Milan for this unique event and participate in this active international platform to discuss the future challenges facing the energy sector.
